About the Book

Mask of Shadows is a novel posted in blog format. Bad decisions lead to bad consequences. Michael Drake started the day as he had many others, doing a favor for a friend. In doing so, he falls right in the middle of a torrid affair. As he tries to decide whether or not to tell his friend of his wife’s indiscretion, she is murdered. Through no fault of his own, he is entangled in a murder plot that reaches back to his days. The problem lies in the fact that in clearing himself, he may implicate the friend that he intended to help. That is only the beginning when murder and passion collide in a small south Louisiana town.

Michael Drake is going through his usual routine at the jazz club he manages, when he receives a threatening phone call. The caller tells him that there is a bomb somewhere in the building. He makes the decision to clear the building and that is where his trouble truly begins. It turns out that the bomb threat was merely a cover for the murder of a person who was a link to his past life. Being the only suspect that the police are interested in, Drake is faced with the task of finding the real killer himself, if he ever hopes to have normal life.
